Day Three Conclusion

Stacy: Another day of traveling many miles. We made it all the way across Wyoming and into Nebraska. Believe what everyone tells you, Nebraska is flat! There is so much to see and we are having to make decisions as to what to see and what to put on our list for next time. We ended up in North Platte, NE tonight. We ate dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, in honor of my parents 40th wedding anniversary today. Tomorrow is mapped out and we are getting ready to hit the hay for another early morning.

Scott is driving. Notice the "cruise" is set at 85!
We toured the Wyoming Territorial Prison/Park. The only prison known to house Butch Cassiday.

The highest point of I-80. Otherwise known at the Lincoln Memorial Highway.

Ta da!!! The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

The original Cabela's!
A beautiful Nebraska sunset. Scott is not sold on this state. He didn't enjoy the dust storm we drove through, or the smell of the huge cow feed lots. Maybe he wouldn't smell them if he didn't roll down the windows everytime we drove by one thinking it was funny!

  1. Miles and miles of flat land is hard on the imagination of hill country folks! Just wait until you head this way ... long long long flat stretches!!! And you'll want to keep the windows up in some places too!!
