I am sitting here in a shady motel room in Portland. It’s not a normal Thursday night for our family, but then this coming week is not going to be normal.
We are scheduled on the 7:45am shuttle to the airport. From there, we are boarding at plane at 9:30am and heading to west to Hawaii. Five hours later, we will land in Honolulu and catch a shuttle to the rental car place. From there, the sky’s the limit!
I am really excited about this trip. The boys are with us. Well, actually now that Nick has turned 21, I guess I should call them men. We have never been on an official family vacation. Sure, we have taken trips across the state to visit family, but the four of us have never actually been on a vacation together. It’s pretty exciting!
Lot’s to report on this coming week. Be sure to check in every now and then for an update. And keep your fingers crossed that our car is still parked in the gravel parking lot behind this shady motel when we get back next week!
